On the Docket Panel | United States v. Texas: A Historic Moment for U.S. Immigration

The George Washington Law Review’s On the Docket Presents:
United States v. Texas: A Historic Moment for U.S. Immigration

The George Washington Law Review is hosting a panel discussion on one of the most important Supreme Court cases this Term, United States v. Texas. The case involves a constitutional and administrative law challenge to President Obama’s new immigration policy that delays deportation of undocumented immigrant parents of citizen children. The expert panelists will address whether the state has standing to sue, whether the agency has statutory discretion or notice-and-comment requirements, and whether the President has violated his Take Care Clause duty. With an experienced Supreme Court litigator moderating, the panel will provide thought-provoking discussion and an opportunity to gain a deep understanding of a historic case. Join us, all are welcome!
